A matching multi-layer production cel and background setup from the Marvel Studios animated series "X-Men" (1992-1997). Featuring Gambit in his fairy tale inspired peasant attire, the hand-painted cel and background were created at the studio and used during the animation process. Both pieces create an actual frame of animation that was photographed and appears in the season five episode "Jubilee's Fairy Tale Theatre," which aired on November 16, 1997. Measuring 10.5"x12.75" overall, with the character image measuring 5.75"x7.5", the cel and background are in good condition. The cel displays minor scratches, surface wear, light line fade and transfer, and the cel's paint is stuck to the background due to storage. The background shows minor edge and corner wear. Also included is a matching production drawing.
